Dinners are held every other month and our only criteria with choosing a cause is, that it is a non-profit organization and small enough so that a small amount of money will go a long way. So far, we have favored children and family issues, though we are open to all worthy causes.

Causes are found through newspaper articles, churches, the phone book, word of mouth, and general observation in the community. We research our cause by going to see the premises, observe the workings, talk with the people involved and by asking how the money raised would be utilized.
Dinner and a Cause of St. Thomas, USVI
is organized by (left to right) Kristy Solt, Eula Hymes, Letty Hulsman, Joanie DeLugo, Pam Larsen and Suzanne Mabe.
We began our dinners with all women, and it has worked out so well that we have kept it that theme, though we do allow our husbands to help with the schlepping! Our intention is to keep Dinner and a Cause small enough to maintain the warm friendship that is present at these events. The women who attend these dinners are movers and shakers of the community; A diverse group that make up a lovely and lively evening!
